“Revelge”, from Des Knaben Wunderhorn

from: G. Mahler (1860-1911)

Originally in two different versions, one for voice with piano, and one for voice with orchestra, in d minor as here. A total of 15 bars were taken out for the purposes of this non-vocal arrangement. Title means “Reveille”, sometimes referred to in English as “The Dead Drummer”. Note that we have a version of this number included in our large grouping “Duets from Dufay to de Falla”, from the Duet section. Revised 9.23.20.

Keyboard parts include separate recorder parts at no additional cost.
