Originally in g dorian, transposed to c dorian (and in Eb lydian in the 3rd movement) in this arrangement. Four movements, Adagio, Fugue, Siliciano, and Presto. In the Presto, we availed ourselves of the bass line of the arrangement by Johannes Brahms for piano solo (see below). Also in the Presto, we advise that the recorder player try different groupings or phrasings based not necessarily on the 3/8 time signature, and paying attention to the slurs.
